Biographical Information[edit]
Shoji Tezawa signed with the Shochiku Robins in 1952, and he only played 3 games for the big club before he announced his retirement in 1954. He later became an umpire for the Central League from 1962 to 1989, and he worked 2,364 games in his 28-year umpire career. He also worked the 1981 NPB All-Star Game.
