Biographical Information[edit]
Shoji Nagasawa played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 6 years.
Nagasawa signed with the Nankai Hawks in 1949, and he hit .303/.321/.395 in 25 games in his first season. He then had a .270/.337/.392 batting line with 2 homers in 1950, but he also committed 30 errors. Nagasawa was 4-for-40 in 1951, and he went to the Tokyu Flyers. He recorded a .241/.300/.304 batting line in 85 games in 1952, and he slumped to .204/.250/.231 in 1953. Nagasawa batted .236/.298/.257 in 1954, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Nagasawa hit .233/.287/.288 with 231 hits and 3 homers in 6 seasons in NPB.
