Biographical Information

Shoichi Shimosusaki played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 8 years.

Shimosusaki signed with the Nishitetsu Lions in 1964, and he was 2-for-15 in his first season. He went 5-for-33 in 1965, and he hit .222/.241/.346 in 57 games in 1966. Shimosusaki then had a 13-for-44 record in 1967, and he played 96 games with a .230/.286/.340 batting line in 1968. He batted .212/.264/.271 in 56 games in 1969, and his batting line was .244/.279/.390 in 74 games in 1970. Shimosusaki slumped to .118/.118/.118 in 1971, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Shimosusaki hit .219/.258/.313 with 124 hits and 11 homers in 8 seasons in NPB.
