Biographical Information[edit]
Sho Gibo has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Gibo was drafted by the Orix Buffaloes in the 5th round of the 2018 NPB draft, and he was 6-for-26 with the big club in his first season. He was 2-for-17 in 2020, and he went 4-for-25 in 2021. Gibo struggled again as he was 5-for-29 in 2022, and he finally got some chances in 2023. He was Orix's most-used second baseman with 54 games (Marwin González was next with 48, and he played 62 games with a .279/.310/.313 batting line. However, Gibo was 3-for-12 in 2024 and he missed most of the season due to right shoulder injury, and he didn't reach the big club in 2025.
