Biographical Information

Outfielder Shizuo Kusumi signed with the Kokutetsu Swallows in 1951, and he hit .200/.250/.200 in 17 plate appearances over 38 games in his first season; he scored 10 times as he often was a pinch-runner. He didn't reach the top team in 1952, and he announced his retirement.
