Biographical Information[edit]
Shiro Yoshioka signed with the Takahashi Unions in 1954, and he was 2-3 with a 5.02 ERA in his first season. He improved to 4-11 with a 3.80 ERA in 1955, and he went 1-4 with a 4.34 ERA in 1956. The Unions merged with the Daiei Stars in 1957 , and Takahashi only pitched 9 games with a 4.85 ERA then he announced his retirement.
Overall, Yoshioka was 8-20 with a 4.23 ERA, struck out 133 and pitched 285 innings in 4 seasons in NPB.
