Biographical Information[edit]
Shin Fujimoto played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 7 years.
Fujimoto signed with the Yomiuri Giants in 1956, and he hit .152/.222/.182 in 48 games in his first season. He recorded a .188/.228/.208 batting line in 1958, and he played 69 games with a .214/.236/.282 batting line in 1959. Fujimoto struggled again in 1960 as his batting line was .203/.258/.232, then he batted .158/.205/.178 in 107 games in 1961. He was Yomiuri's starting second baseman in 1962, and he played 86 games with a .236/.292/.320 batting line. Fujimoto went 9-for-53 in 1963, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Fujimoto hit .195/.245/.241 with 172 hits and 5 homers in 7 seasons in NPB.
