Biographical Information

Shigeru Ohira signed with the Hankyu Braves in 1943, and he went 1-for-13 in his first season. He was 3-3 with a 2.82 ERA in 1944, and he hit .250/.340/.295 in 28 games at the plate, splitting time between pitching and playing outfield. Ohira recorded a .264/.328/.340 in 1946 with a 7.05 ERA in 5 appearances, and he announced his retirement.
