Biographical Information

Sergio De Luna worked for the Kansas City Royals Dominican Summer League affiliate for several years before becoming a coach for the team.[1]. De Luna was a coach for the DSL Royals in 2015, an outfield coach in 2016, and an infield coach in 2017. The Royals added a second DSL affiliate in 2018. De Luna was an assistant coach in 2018-2019 for the DSL Royals 2 and would have returned in the same role in 2020 if COVID-19 hadn't forced the cancellation of the minor league season. The Royals promoted De Luna to manager of the DSL Royals 2 in 2021 and he continued to skipper theL club in 2022. De Luna took over managing the DSL Royals 1 team from 2023-2025.
