Biographical Information

Seiryu Uchi has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Uchi was drafted by the Rakuten Golden Eagles in the 6th round of the 2020 NPB draft; the scout was Hisashi Aikyo. He spent his first two seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues, and he notched 7 holds with a 2.28 ERA in 53 games in 2023. He was 7th in appearances in the Pacific League, tied with Soichiro Yamazaki, Yuki Matsumoto and Luis Perdomo. Uchi was turned into a starter in 2024, and he went 6-8 with a 3.58 ERA in 20 starts.
