Biographical Information

Seiji Mitsubayashi signed with the Kokutetsu Swallows in 1954, and he had a 4.20 ERA in 11 appearances in his first season. He pitched 8 games with a 3.12 ERA in 1955, and he went 2-2 with a 4.14 ERA in 1956. Mitsubayashi was 0-4 with a 3.46 ERA in 1957, and he slumped to 0-2 with a 5.79 ERA in 1958 he announced his retirement.

Overall, Mitsubayashi went 3-10 with a 4.22 ERA, struck out 108 and pitched 211 1/3 innings in 5 seasons in NPB.
