Biographical Information[edit]
Satoshi Yano was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the first round of the 1996 NPB draft, and he got his first win on May 31, 1997. He was the second pitcher to be drafted out of high school to get his first win in his first game in Fighters history, following Toshiaki Moriyasu. Yano mainly stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his next 7 seasons, and he pitched 10 games combined with the big club. His ERA was 4.68 in 24 games in 2005, but he didn't reach the big club in 2006 then he announced his retirement.
