Satoshi Yamazaki played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 4 years
Yamazaki was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the first round of the 2003 NPB draft. He went 3-1 with a 5.59 ERA in 2004, then he pitched 5 games with a 11.42 ERA in 2005. Yamazaki then missed the entire 2006 season due to injuries, and he was 3-1 with a 1.50 ERA for the North Shore Honu in the winter. He pitched 45 games with a 3.86 ERA and 4 holds in 2007, but he only had 3 appearances with a 6.35 ERA in 2008. He never reached the big club again before he announced his retirement in 2010.
Overall, Yamazaki was 6-4 with a 5.15 ERA, struck out 90 and pitched 113 2/3 innings in 4 seasons in the NPB.
