Biographical Information[edit]
Satoshi Sonobe represented Japan in the 2013 World Junior Championship, hitting .267/.333/.400 with four doubles and seven RBI in nine games; he fielded .966 at first. He had one of Japan's RBI in their 3-2 title game loss to the US. He tied for the double lead and tied Gareth Morgan and Adam Haseley for 9th in RBI. The Orix Buffaloes selected him on the 4th round of the 2013 NPB draft,and he hit .204/.246/.315 in 16 games in 2016. He never reached the big club again before he announced his retirement in 2018.
