Salvador Chávez Muñiz

Biographical Information[edit]

Salvador Chávez hit .385 for the Mexican national team in the 1959 Central American and Caribbean Games and scored twice; had he qualified, he would've been 6th in average. He fielded .944 at third base, second-best, .011 behind Agustin Juliana. [1] The Chicago Tribune carried box scores for four of Mexico's five games in the 1959 Pan American Games; the infielder hit .250 with two runs, two RBI and a triple in those contests. [2]
