Biographical Information[edit]

First baseman Sadao Morita played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 5 years.

Morita signed with the Hankyu club in 1940, and he hit .309/.345/.373 in 43 games in his first season. He slumped to .204/.287/.262 in 1941, and his batting line was .160/.254/.214 in 1942. Morita then enlisted to the military and missed the next three years. He returned in 1946, and he went 8-for-40 in 30 games. He had a 10-for-56 record in 1947, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Morita hit .199/.282/.251 with 148 hits and 3 homers in 5 seasons in NPB.
