Biographical Information[edit]
Sachio Suzuki played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 7 years.
Suzuki signed with the Hankyu Braves in 1951, and he was 4-3 with a 3.74 ERA in his first season. He went 8-8 with a 3.55 ERA in 1952, but he slumped to 1-2 with a 6.39 ERA in 1953. Suzuki bounced back with a 5-7 record and a 3.22 ERA in 31 appearances in 1954, and he pitched 19 games with a 4.31 ERA in 1955. He recorded a 1.59 ERA in 7 games in 1956, but he only had one appearance in 1957 and he announced his retirement. He was an assistant coach for the Chiben Wakayama High School from 2002 to 2012.
Overall, Suzuki was 20-23 with a 3.72 ERA, struck out 236 and pitched 473 2/3 innings in 7 seasons in NPB.
