Biographical Information[edit]
Sachio Okugaki was drafted by the Tokyo Orions and Sankei Swallows in the first round of the first 1966 NPB draft, and the Swallows won the lottery for the rights to him. He hit .167/.212/.229 in 1967, then he had a .205/.252/.252 batting line in 66 games in 1968. Okugaki struggled again in 1969 as his batting line was .181/.228/.234, then he announced his retirement after he went 4-for-49 in 1970.
