Biographical Information[edit]
Rubén Gotay is the nephew of Julio Gotay.
Gotay became a coach with the Clearwater Threshers in 2018-2019 and GCL Phillies West in 2019. Moving to the Pittsburgh Pirates' organization, he was a coach for the Greensboro Grasshoppers in 2021-2022. Gotay coached the Caliente de Durango in 2024, then moved to the Atlanta Braves' chain as a hitting coach for the Augusta GreenJackets in 2025 and a coach for the Gwinnett Stripers in 2026.
