Biographical Information

Ryuichi Watanabe was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 7th round of the 2003 NPB draft, but he only got 10 at-bats combined for the top team before he announced his retirement in 2011. His father Katsumi Watanabe was an Olympic Bronze Medalist.
