Biographical Information[edit]

Ryoto Kita has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Kita was drafted by the Orix Buffaloes in the 3rd round of the 2020 NPB draft; the scout was Emi Inui. He debuted on September 13 against the Nippon Ham Fighters, and he crushed a home run against Takahide Ikeda on the first pitch he faced. Kita was the first player straight from high school to homer on the first pitch of his career in NPB history. He hit .211/.250/.338 in 23 games in his rookie season, and he was 3-for-23 in 2022. Kita was hitless in 10 at-bats in 2023, and he played 54 games with a .212/.264/.312 batting line in 2024. He hit .234/.278/.323 in 50 games in 2025.
