Biographical Information

Ryohei Kiya was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 2nd round of the 2011 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first season; he was 2-4 with a 6.48 ERA there. Kiya was 3-3 with a 4.00 ERA for the big club in 2013, but he slumped to 4-6 with a 7.26 ERA in 2014. He only pitched 3 2/3 more innings for the big club, and he announced his retirement in 2016.
