Biographical Information[edit]
Ryohei Isaka played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 3 years.
Isaka was drafted by the Rakuten Golden Eagles in the 3rd round of the 2008 NPB draft, and he was 2-3 with a 5.67 ERA in his first season. He was the first Rakuten pitcher to get the win on his debut. Isaka then went 2-4 with a 5.09 ERA in 2010, and he had a 3-4 record with a 4.32 ERA in 2011. He recorded a 3.91 ERA in 4 starts with 3 wins for the Adelaide Bite in the 2010-2011 ABL. However, Isaka suffered from ossification of the yellow ligament, and he didn't return to the top team again before he announced his retirement in 2014.
Overall, Isaka was 7-12 with a 4.96 ERA, struck out 65 and pitched 156 innings in 3 seasons in NPB.
