Biographical Information

Ryohei Hosokawa has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Hosokawa was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 4th round of the 2020 NPB draft; the scout was Takaya Hayashi. He was 5-for-25 in 2021, and he had a 7-for-41 record in 2022. Hosokawa was one of Nippon Ham's more regularly used second basemen in 2023 (though he only started 17 games; 7 players played 20-33 games at 2B), and he recorded a .216/.269/.320 batting line in 60 games that season. Since Daigo Kamikawabata was named their regular second baseman, Hosokawa was mainly used as defensive replacement, and he went 12-for-54 in 51 games in 2024.
