Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Rodolfo Rosales (brother of Rubén Rosales) [1] was on the Salvadoran national team that won Gold in the 1990 Central American Games, stunning Nicaragua; through 2025, it remains El Salvador's lone baseball Gold in a Central American Games (their next-best finish being several Bronzes). He played a key part, leading the Games in runs (10) and steals (4) while his .464 average trailed only David Nolasco and Angel Zúniga. [2] In the Gold Medal Game, his 9th-inning grounder led to Julio Medina's error that scored José Marroquín with the winner. [3]
