Biographical Information[edit]
Robinson Cespedes played in the minors and for the Colombian national team.
Debuting with Ciudad Alianza in the 1999 Venezuelan Summer League, he hit .294. [1] He followed with seasons of .259 and .294 for the DSL Astros. [2] Coming stateside in 2002, he hit .266/.314/.350 as the main center fielder for the Tri-City ValleyCats. Moving up to the Lexington Legends in '03, he fell to .229/.330/.300. He was 1 for 9 with a walk and a triple for Colombia in the 2008 Americas Baseball Cup; the triple was off Didi Gregorius Sr. [3]
