Rob Alger was a two-way baseball player for the Burtonwood Braves, Skelmersdale Tigers, and Liverpool Trojans. He was noted for his curveball on the mound and his throwing arm behind the dish. He was a champion player and manager. He made the British Baseball Hall of Fame in 2024.
