Biographical Information

Reo Shibata has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Shibata was drafted by the Softbank Hawks and Nippon Ham Fighters in the first round of the 2024 NPB draft after they lost the lottery in their previous selection, and the Fighters won the lottery for the rights to him; the scout was Tsutomu Ishimoto. Shibata hit .186/.216/.322 in 51 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2025, and he had a 1.25 ERA in 11 games on the mound. He also pitched 4 games for the big club, and he got a hold with a 2.92 ERA.
