Biographical Information

Raito Nakayama has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Nakayama was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the 3rd round of the 2020 NPB draft; the scout was Takahiro Aoki. He hit .309/.345/.382 in 44 games in 2021 in the NPB Farm Leagues, and he played 50 games with a .198/.234/.206 batting line for the big club in 2022. Nakayama then recorded a .239/.276/.290 batting line in 78 games in 2023, and he hit .318/.375/.386 in 2024. Nakayama crushed a homer against Yasuaki Yamasaki in the 2024 CLCS final stage Game 5, and he was the first player in NPB history whose first career homer was in the Climax Series. Nakayama blasted 7 homers with a .265/.319/.383 batting line in 2025, and he again shined in the postseason. He crushed a homer against Andre Jackson in the 2025 CLCS Game 2, but the Giants were still swept by the BayStars.
