The Pratt Institute is a post-secondary institution specializing in the teaching of creative arts, architecture, graphic design and interior design. Danny Herrera got his training as a visual artist here, following his baseball career. Mark Chiarello, John Gaherin and Jen Pawol also went here. The school has not sponsored baseball since the early 1970s.
