Potomac Intercollegiate Conference
The Potomac Intercollegiate Conference was formed late in 1964 as the Maryland Intercollegiate Conference. Charter schools were Bowie State College, Coppin State College, District of Columbia Teachers College, Frostburg State College, and Salisbury State College. The conference began sponsoring baseball in 1966. The name was changed to Potomac Intercollegiate Conference in the 1969-1970 school year. Some schools, including George Mason, had concurrent membership in the Mason-Dixon Conference at times. Down to 4 schools, the conference disbanded after the 1976-1977 school year.
