Biographical Information

Poong-ki Kim was signed by the Pacific Dolphins in 1989, and he went 0-for-1 in his first season. He was 0-for-4 in 1990, and he announced his retirement after the 1992 season. Kim has been an umpire in the Korea Baseball Organization since 1994, and he worked the 2013 World Baseball Classic. His uncle Jin-young Kim and brother-in-law Kyoung-youb Youm both managed in the KBO, and his cousin Kyung-ki Kim also played in the KBO.
