Biographical Information[edit]
Nicknamed "Peanuts", Penny O'Brian played one season in the AAGPBL, spending 1945 with the Fort Wayne Daisies and stealing 43 bases (7th in the league). She hit .216/~.258/.227 and had one extra-base hit, a homer. An outfielder-first baseman (primarily an outfielder), she fielded .946. In a low-offense season, she was second on the club in average behind fellow Canadian Helen Callaghan. She improved to .400 in 10 playoff games but Fort Wayne lost in the finals to the Rockford Peaches.
