Biographical Information[edit]
Pei-Chen Huang has been on the Taiwanese women's national team.
She debuted in the 2023 Women's Baseball Asian Cup as a pinch-hitter for Chi-Jung Chen and drew a bases-loaded walk from China's Rui Du to force in a run. Her first hit was off Debby Su-Yee Mak of Hong Kong. She finished 2-for-7 with 2 walks, 3 runs and 3 RBI for the Silver Medalists, handling one putout in right. [1] In the first round of the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup, she hit .222/.364/.333 with 2 runs and 2 steals in 3 games. [2] Taiwan moved on to the 2024 portion and she was at .333/.400/.667 with 3 RBI in 4 games, handling 3 putouts in right. A highlight was a homer off Canada's Liz Gilder that briefly put Taiwan ahead in a 9-8 loss. Only Alex Hugo hit more homers in the finals. [3]
In the 2025 Women's Baseball Asian Cup, she slashed .474/.455/.895 with 2 homers, 8 runs and 7 RBI in 7 games, with 8 putouts, an assist and an error. She hit two inside-the-park homers against India, one of Jyoti Pawar and one off Ramandeep Kaur. Taiwan won Silver again. She tied for 5th in the Cup with 9 hits and tied Yi-Hsuan Chiu for the home run lead. She joined Kokoro Mayumi and Hei-Ting Lau as the All-Star outfielders. [4]
