Biographical Information[edit]

Paul Davis coached at the high school, American Legion, and college levels among other baseball jobs from 1995-2012. These years included scouting work for the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets.[1] Most notably, Davis was the head coach of Dana College from 1995-1999. He was twice named the Nebraska-Iowa Athletic Conference Coach-of-the-Year and led the Vikings to a school record 32 wins and a conference championship in 1996 at the NAIA level. During the summer of 1998 he also managed the Omaha Indians of the M.I.N.K. Baseball League. He finished this period as a coach for the Ralston High School Rams in 2012.

The St. Louis Cardinals hired Davis in 2013 as a pitching coach for the Johnson City Cardinals. He returned to Johnson City in 2014 while taking on the additional responsibility of Coordinator of Pitching Analytics for the Cardinals organization. In 2015, Davis served as the Cardinals Rehab Pitching Coach and was their Minor League Assistant Pitching Coordinator in 2016-2017. He continued as Coordinator of Pitching Analytics through 2017. In 2018, he focused solely on analytics with the title of Manager of Pitching Analytics.

In 2019, Davis joined the Seattle Mariners organization as the major league pitching coach. The Mariners replaced him as pitching coach after the season and Davis moved to the Atlanta Braves organization as their Minor League Pitching Coordinator. After two years in this role, the Braves promoted him to Director of Pitching Development. During these years, the Braves saw a steady stream of pitching prospects move through their minor league system and become contributors to the Braves' success at the major league level. Davis continued working for the Braves through 2025, but was dismissed after the season ended.
