Biographical Information[edit]

Oscar Carlstedt pitched for the Swedish national team in 2010-2012; his brother Arvid Carlstedt debuted for Sweden in 2014. He was 1-0 with a 2.60 ERA for Stockholm in 2007, when he was 16 years old. In 2008, he went 3-2 with a 5.56 ERA and 29 walks in 42 2/3 IP in the Elitserien. He was in the MLB European Academy in 2009 and was on Sweden's preliminary roster for the 2009 Baseball World Cup but did not make the final cut. Stats after 2009 are unclear as the Heatstat site that used to list these went down without being replaced.

Carlstedt was one of five Swedish players to appear with a California junior college in 2010-2011. He was with Sweden for the 2010 European Championship. In the 2012 European Championship, he allowed five runs in 1 1/3 IP in a loss to Spain's Antonio Noguera.
