Biographical Information[edit]
Onassis Sirrett played in the minors and for the Dominican national team.
Sirrett began his professional career with the Kansas City Royals (Daurys Nin was the signing scout) [1], and he allowed 2 runs in 2 2/3 innings for the DSL Royals in 2006. In 2007, he went 2-1 with a 3.42 ERA in DSL, but his ERA was 8.53 in 8 games for the AZL Royals. Sirrett recorded a 3.05 ERA in 12 games in the AZL in 2008, and he notched 4 saves with a 3.98 ERA for the Burlington Royals in 2009. However, his ERA rose to 8.31 in 21 games in Burlington in the next season, and the Royals released him. He appeared with the Tigres del Licey in 2014, and he recorded a 3.60 ERA in 8 games. Sirrett then represented the Dominican Republic in the 2015 Premier 12. He pitched 2 shutout innings with 2 strikeouts and 3 hits allowed against the USA, but he surrendered a run in 1/3 of an inning and got the loss against Mexico's Mark Serrano. [2] Sirrett had a 6.38 ERA in 17 games for the Pericos de Puebla in the 2018 fall season, and he appeared in the 2019 Latin American Series with the Leones de León.
