Biographical Information[edit]
Norishige Hashimoto played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 6 years.
Hashimoto signed with the Hiroshima Carp in 1955, and he had a 4.91 ERA in 8 games in his first season. He went 3-5 with a 3.19 ERA in 1959, and he was 1-9 with a 2.97 ERA in 1960. Hashimoto then pitched 43 games with a 2.47 ERA in 1961, and he recorded a 3.39 ERA in 27 appearances in 1962. The Carp then sent him to the Nankai Hawks, but he slumped to a 8.55 ERA in 10 games in 1960 and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Hashimoto was 10-27 with a 3.23 ERA, struck out 234 and pitched 539 2/3 innings in 6 seasons in NPB.
