Biographical Information

Noboru Sakamoto signed with the Hankyu Braves in 1955, and he hit .083/.154/.083 in 22 games in his first season. He had a 2-for-4 record with 8 runs scored in 43 games in 1956, and he announced his retirement in 1957. Primarily a pinch-runner, he had 19 plate appearances in 65 games, scoring 13 times and going 5-for-8 in steal attempts.
