Biographical Information

Nick Varon has played for the Greek national team.

He hit .284/.416/.422 at Southwestern Illinois in 2021-22 Transferring to Northern Illinois, he was 5-for-19 with a walk and two doubles in 2024 and 0 for 5 with a walk in 2025. Being of Greek descent, he played for Greece in the 2025 European Championship. He started at DH and hit cleanup in their opener against Lithuania, drawing a walk from former major leaguer Dovydas Neverauskas his first time up. He hit .273/.529/.273 with 6 walks in their 4 games, scoring four times and driving in one; he had two putouts in left. He tied for 6th in the Euros in walks that year and only Max Warren had a better OBP for Greece; only Akili Carris scored more times for them.
