Biographical Information

Mitsuo Watanabe signed with the Kokutetsu Swallows in 1951, but he stayed in the minors in his first two seasons. He went 2-for-12 in 1953, and he played 84 games with a .274/.296/.307 batting line in 1954. Watanabe was 7-for-52 in 1955, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Watanabe hit .246/.271/.275 with 75 hits in 3 seasons in NPB.
