Biographical Information[edit]
Mitsuaki Kurimoto signed with the Daimai Orions in 1961, and he only played 3 games in his first season. He was 1-4 with a 5.14 ERA in 1962, and he went 3-2 with a 2.79 ERA in 54 games in 1963. He was 8th in appearances in the Pacific League. Kurimoto's ERA rose to 4.06 in 17 games in 1964, and he didn't reach the top team in 1965. He then allowed 8 runs in 7 2/3 innings in 1966, and he announced his retirement. He was the minor league pitching coach for the Orions from 1979 to 1981.
