Biographical Information

Minoru Nishikura signed with the Shochiku Robins in 1952, and he hit .182/.250/.200 in 28 games in his first season. He then left the team, and he played for the Osaka Railway of the industrial league. Nishikura returned with the Takahashi Unions in 1954, and he went 5-for-24. He played 82 games with a .193/.239/.253 batting line in 1955, then he passed away. His brother Koshiro Ito also played in NPB.

Overall, Nishikura hit .192/.242/.245 with 44 hits in 3 seasons in NPB.
