Biographical Information

Minoru Nishida signed with the Hankyu Braves in 1956, and he only pitched one game in his first season. He went 6-1 with a 2.85 ERA in 1958, and he had a 3.88 ERA in 28 appearances in 1959. Nishida only pitched 6 more games for the big club, and he announced his retirement in 1961.

Overall, Nishida hit was 7-3 with a 3.43 ERA, struck out 60 and pitched 144 1/3 innings in 5 seasons in NPB.
