Biographical Information

Mikihiro Yamamura signed with the Taiyo Whales in 1955, and he played 93 games with a .215/.240/.248 batting line in his first season. He struggled again in 1956 as his batting line was .157/.161/.188, then he recorded a .187/.204/.242 batting line in 1957. Yamamura was 4-for-41 in 1958, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Yamamura hit .182/.198/.218 with 103 hits and a homer in 4 seasons in NPB.
