Mike Shannon

Biographical information

Mike Shannon is an author who has written extensively about baseball, with much of his work revolving around the Cincinnati Reds and baseball in Ohio. He is also the founder and editor-in-chief of Spitball: The Literary Baseball Magazine and has edited for Baseball History & Art magazine. He co-created the Casey Award with WJ Harrison, given to the best baseball book each year. It was first awarded in 1983.
