Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Mike Cupples played several seasons of minor league ball before becoming a college coach.
Cupples was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the 26th round of the 1984 amateur draft. He played four years in the A's organization.
Cupples was assistant coach at Grand Rapids Community College from 1992-2004, and head coach from 2005-2018. He led the team to the 2005 NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series crown.
