Biographical Information[edit]
Matthew Ward has played in the Bundesliga and for the British national team.
He was 1 for 8 with two walks for Niagara University in 2021 and hitting .289/.372/.411 in 2022, then batted .272/.380/.391 in '23 and .271/.396/.436 in 2024. He batted .320/.369/.469 for the Bonn Capitals in the Bundesliga season after the college year ended. [1] He made the British team for the 2025 European Championship. Debuting against champion the Netherlands, he batted for Kennard Dawson and struck out against Kevin Kelly. He got his first hit off Israel's Aviv Bobrov. Overall, he hit .143/.294/.214 with 4 runs and a RBI in 5 games, with four putouts and one error. [2]
