Biographical Information

Matt Kennedy has been a college coach.

Kennedy was a middle infielder in college. He was an assistant at Kentucky Wesleyan (2004), Saint Joseph's College (2005, 2007-2008) and Indiana State University (2006). From 2009 to 2013 he was head coach of Parkland College. His first year, he went 49-9 and took them to the 2009 NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series title. The next year, he was 50-13, followed by seasons of 43-11 andf 40-20.

Kennedy was hitting coach of the Joliet Slammers in 2013-2015. He was an assistant coach at Saint Joseph's College (2015-2016), Saint Leo University (2017-2019), Butler University (2020-2022), and Kent State University (2023). He then moved to St. Johns River State College as an assistant coach in 2024-2026, before becoming head coach in 2027.
