Biographical Information[edit]
Masayuki Sasaki was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 2nd round of the 1980 NPB draft, and he went 0-for-10 in his first season. He had a 5-for-25 record in 1982, but he only got 6 at-bats in 1983 and he was released. The Nippon Ham Fighters signed him, and he hit .239/.300/.413 in 32 games in 1984. Sasaki only played 4 games in 1985, and he had a 6-for-23 record in 1986. He was 0-for-6 in 1987, and he announced his retirement.
